About Me.
My name is Erin Stanphill.
I was born and mostly raised in the state of Mississippi.Graduating from college at the University of Mississippi with a BFA in acting. It was during my time in college that I became drawn to yoga and my mat. I was extremely active in athletics from a young age and found the endorphins to be my saving grace at times. When I started yoga I found myself touching into something much more than just sweat as I practiced in a heated studio. I found a lot of emotions coming up that I'd been sweating out for years and simply ignoring. I began to get stronger physically and mentally the day I began my yoga practice.
When discovering the healing and strengthening that yoga gifted me personally through recovering from an eating disorder and panic attacks I knew I had to share this gift with others because surely I'm not the only one suffering from these obstacles, I thought to myself . I then went on to get my 200 YTT certification at small world yoga in Nashville, TN. I then started my journey as a teacher at Baptiste Oxford studio. As I lived in New York City I was very much in my practice but lost my teaching style with all the hustle and bustle of NYC. Teaching in the valley of Conway, NH has taught me balance and patience with myself. I have now been teaching yoga for 3 years ! I look forward to my future in growing in my teaching and practice by receiving my 300 RYTT soon.
My specialties and intentions
I specialize in children's yoga as children have always been a gift to me but it was not until playing Cinderella at Glen, New Hampshire's Storyland that I realized that I had a gift in helping children find their voice and walk out of their comfort zone. I also specialize in working with clients that might not be as mobile due to age or injury my goal is to help them find their strength and mobility again! My intention as a yoga instructor is to create a space in class that allows people to find empowerment and strength through each pose and self-love through each inhale and exhale in order to help them find their own power of getting out of their head and into their body. My hope within each class is to help my clients realize yoga is for Every Body all ages. all sizes. all people. Once that is accepted you start to find your authentic self through your yoga practice and life.
